Restart last year’s chapter

Your school had a chapter and you’re picking it up. Whether you were part of it last year or you just found out it existed, getting a club restarted can feel like a lot — we’re here to help.

1

Re-register Your Chapter

Chapters re-register at the start of every school year. It’s free and takes a few minutes, and it’s how we know your chapter is still active and who to send materials and updates to. Not sure whether yours has been re-registered yet? Email clubsupport@safebae.org and we’ll look it up for you.

2

Join the SafeBAE Discord

Connect with student leaders at other schools, be the first to hear about new opportunities and national campaigns, and ask questions whenever you have them.

3

Confirm Your Faculty Advisor

Check that last year’s advisor is continuing before you start planning. Staff change roles and schools over the summer, and most schools require an advisor of record for your club to meet or reserve space. If you need a new one, we’ve got resources to help you find the right person.

4

Compile Prior Year Materials

Track down what last year’s chapter left behind — social accounts and the group chat, the shared folder, leftover posters and supplies, and any notes on what they ran. Your advisor is usually the one person who remembers where things ended up, so start there.

5

Connect with SafeBAE Staff

Book fifteen minutes with someone from our programming team. We can answer any questions and connect you with the right resources. Email us at clubsupport@safebae.org or book a meeting.

Become a Certified Peer Educator

Take the #ForDaisy Peer Educator Training to deepen your knowledge of sexual violence prevention and survivor support. You don’t have to be certified to be part of the club, but we strongly encourage chapter leads — and as many members as possible — to complete it. You’ll gain the tools to educate others, lead presentations, and access exclusive club resources.
