Affiliate a club you already have
You’re already in a club — student council, a wellness or service club, an affinity group, a leadership council — and you want to bring consent and healthy relationship programming into what you’re already doing. It’s super simple.
Bring it to your club first
Take ten minutes at a meeting: what this is, what you’d actually do, and what wouldn’t change. If your club votes on things like this, take a vote. It’s much better to start with your members on board.
Tell your faculty advisor
They don’t need to do anything differently, but they should know — and if your school requires approval for outside affiliations or materials, this is the moment to find out. You can send them our page for faculty advisors, which explains the role.
Make sure your club is registered
Tell us your club’s name, your school, what you already do, and who to contact. There’s a field for what you’re hoping to take on, and “we’re not sure yet” is a completely fine answer. Explore ways to integrate SafeBAE programming
Look at what your club already does and find where this fits most naturally — a teaching guide and short film at a meeting, a consent campaign alongside an event you already run, or a peer-led session for another class. Start with one thing this semester rather than five. Clubs that do one thing in the fall are the clubs still doing this in the spring.
Have your members join the SafeBAE Discord
It’s open to everyone doing this kind of work, not just SafeBAE clubs. Members can connect with student leaders at other schools, hear about new opportunities and national campaigns first, and ask questions whenever they have them. Join the Discord.
Take the Peer Educator Training
You don’t have to be certified to be an affiliated club, but we strongly encourage club leads — and as many members as possible — to complete the #ForDaisy Peer Educator Training. It’s free, online, and self-paced, and it gives your members the tools to educate others, lead presentations, and access exclusive club resources. Start the training.
Keep us posted
Share updates as you go, and send us photos after each event or campaign. It helps us make our materials better, it lets us share your work with clubs at other schools and on our social media, and it’s how we show funders that this work is reaching students.
